MyTA ("the app," "we," "us") is developed by Loftier Goals Software ("Lofty Goals"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use MyTA and how it's used.
MyTA is a tool for teachers to generate classroom content. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Account information. When you register, we collect your email address, username, first and last name, and password. This is sent to and stored on our backend server to create and secure your account.
Authentication. After signing in, an authentication token is stored securely on your device (using encrypted device storage) to keep you signed in. This token is not shared with third parties.
Uploaded documents. If you upload a lesson plan or syllabus (PDF), its text is sent to our server to extract content and used as context for generating classroom material. We only process up to the first 20 pages. Uploaded documents are stored on your device; we do not retain a permanent copy on our servers beyond what's needed to process the upload.
Content you generate. Topics, keywords, and grade/subject selections you enter are sent to our backend to generate worksheets, quizzes, tests, discussion prompts, and lesson plans. We use a third-party AI provider (OpenAI, via Azure) to generate this content. Your inputs are sent to that provider for the sole purpose of generating your requested content.
Preferences. Your selected grade level and subject are stored on your device so the app remembers your settings.
Bug reports. If you use "Report a Bug," your app version and device platform are included in an email you send us — this is sent via your own email app and is entirely optional.
We do not use advertising or third-party analytics/tracking SDKs. We do not sell your personal information.
We share data only with the service providers necessary to run the app: our backend hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) and our AI content-generation provider (OpenAI). We do not share your information with anyone else.
Account information is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app's Profile screen, or by emailing us at contactloftygoals@gmail.com.
You can sign out at any time from the Profile screen. You can delete uploaded documents individually from Settings.
This policy and your use of MyTA are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update this policy as the app changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
